If size counts with your family, The Rare Bird is ready with room for 180 of your closest friends inside, and 150 members of your clan outside. And located on Guysborough Harbour, the Rare Bird defines the authentic seacoast wedding or event.

If you’re bringing in folks from away, the Rare Bird’s sister properties DesBarres Manor Inn and Osprey Shores Golf Resort have 20 guest rooms between them to accommodate even the most discerning in-laws.
And, if your sweetie says the Rare Bird is just too East Coast casual for the city folk, the Authentic Seacoast Resorts are ready with more intimate settings. DesBarres Manor can host up to 50 for a luxurious and intimate dinner and Osprey Shores Golf Resort can host dinner events for up to 100 inside.

Meetings & Retreats
Just to show we can be serious, the Rare Bird also hosts meetings and retreats. The Rare Bird’s Upper Deck features a glass walled Board Room that can comfortably accommodate 12 for intimate meetings. Outside the Board Room, the Upper Deck can accommodate meetings for up to 35.
The Rare Bird’s catering department has an outstanding reputation and can provide a number of unique menu options. In the summer, outdoor meals can be served.
